Preaching at a special singing to a group of folks from various crowds and denominations, Bro. Luke paints a poignant picture of Jesus triumphant over sin and death. 

I have heard stories of Uncle Luke since I was a young boy, all good, all about how good a communicator he was, but I'd only heard one recording of his preaching until this one. After this sermon I feel like I know him. This sermon was delivered some 50 years ago, but the power and spirit of the message are real today.  If you are like me and did not have the privilege of knowing this vessel personally, I encourage you to listen to this sermon.  The gospel we believe and preach, the life of Jesus that we know in our hearts; it was as real then as it is now, and this thought gives me hope.  These are strange and turbulent times, but the comfort of the Holy Ghost and the saving power of the living Jesus are neither strange nor turbulent.  The rock we stand on is Jesus!

Paul Merritt, Sr. delivered “The Difference between BC and AD”.  Highlighting the humility of Christ’s birth, death and resurrection, he explains the beginning of God’s spiritual creation.  This timeless sermon brings this calendar change from millennium ago to a preset day rebirth.

This sermon was delivered at our camp meeting in 1988 from the texts found in Isaiah 61 and Luke 4.  My memory of this faithful sister is captured so well in the 10th verse of chapter 61.  "I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels."  I hope this lifts your sprits as you listen to her speak of the joy she had in the Lord.

Jay shares the seriousness of a righteous and just God, kept in balance only by His conditional mercy.  Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.  This is a heart-provoking sermon worthy of your time.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” This message from Bro. Joseph is a powerful exposition on doctrine.  He expounds on two works of grace, baptism of the Holy Ghost, abstaining from the world, and much more.  At the same time, he pleads with the lost to turn away from sin and come home to God.  If you want to heed Apostle Paul’s words to Timothy “Till I come give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine,” this clip is for you.

At Camp Meeting 1981, Bro. Johnny Rogers delivered this powerful sermon during the Sunday young folks’ service.  Bro. Johnny paints a vivid picture of heaven and hell.  In closing, he proclaims the scriptural truth that holiness is required if we want to make heaven our eternal home.  Which way are you going?

As a consequence of the current shutdown, we have all missed singing in regular worship with our local congregation, as well as in larger gatherings. In the absence of that, we thought that selecting a few tracks of songs from past camp meetings would be appropriate this week. A cappella congregational singing has always been a hallmark of Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church and sounds especially refreshing after going for some time without it.
