“The Prodigal vs. the Privilege of Father’s House” by Bro. Horace Curry, Sr. in Camp Meeting 1970

“The Prodigal vs. the Privilege of Father’s House” by Bro. Horace Curry, Sr. in Camp Meeting 1970

July 16, 2019

Depending on our Savior, Bro. Horace highlights the high calling and privilege to have the Spirit of the Lord in our heart and miss a sinner’s reward.  No matter what we achieve in this life, calamity awaits every sinner who rejects the glory of forgiveness and sanctification in Father’s house; there is no halfway between.  Applying the parable of the prodigal son, this message challenges sinners and saints to urgency, as we clear our hearts and minds for camp meeting 2019.  Bro. Luke Gray leads a 1 minute prayer, followed by a 2-1/2 minute song just before our sermon.

“Thou art Weighed in the Balances” by Bro. Steve Gray in Camp Meeting 2004

“Thou art Weighed in the Balances” by Bro. Steve Gray in Camp Meeting 2004

July 9, 2019

Bro. Steve illuminates how we cherish the Spirit and Power of God we experience in camp meeting!  He then challenges us with “what does the Lord require of me?” and “how is it with my soul?”  The City of Babylon was at its peak when the fingers of a man’s hand wrote “Thou are Weighed in the Balances” to Belshazzar.  It was too late for Belshazzar, but sinners and saints today have the opportunity to search and humble our hearts to serve the Lord God, who still rules in the kingdoms of men.

“But God Hath Revealed Them Unto Us By His Spirit” by Bro. Otho Cox in Camp Meeting 1959

“But God Hath Revealed Them Unto Us By His Spirit” by Bro. Otho Cox in Camp Meeting 1959

July 2, 2019

Please join us this week and listen to this powerful clip where Bro. Otho Cox shares some of his experience of growing up and his love for the gospel before taking his text from 1 Corinthians 2 and Romans 8. This clip is such a treasure and we see in this man’s life the truth of Paul’s words, “that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel”.  Don’t miss this one.

“A Safe Landing” by Bro. Floyd Hagan in Camp Meeting 1971

“A Safe Landing” by Bro. Floyd Hagan in Camp Meeting 1971

June 25, 2019

We are trusting in a great captain - Jesus Christ is piloting our ship, and He will take us safely home. Many notable men and women through history have sailed their own ships, only to come to ruin, but the old Ship of Zion has landed thousands over and she will land a million more. I pray you will be moved by this sermon.

In love,

“We Know That We Have Passed From Death Unto Life,” by Bro Harry Collins, Jr in Camp Meeting 1956

“We Know That We Have Passed From Death Unto Life,” by Bro Harry Collins, Jr in Camp Meeting 1956

June 18, 2019

"We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren...." 1 John 3:14

When do we experience "passed from death unto life?" When does "this mortal put on immortality?"  Bro Harry Collins, Jr tackles these questions through the words of Jesus, the Apostle Paul, and the Apostle John. Bottom line: we need to make certain we are holy today if we want to make it to the city of God.

The words "lively" and "spirit-filled" seem inadequate to describing the powerful rush of the Holy Spirit felt in this sermon, preached over 50 years ago in the 1956 Camp Meeting. Bro. Harry Collins kept himself to the Chincoteague standard with this sermon clocking in at 15 minutes, 32 seconds. I pray that God will bless, encourage, and provoke you with this sermon.

“Two Works of Grace in the Scriptures” by Bro. Ed Merritt, in Camp Meeting 1958

“Two Works of Grace in the Scriptures” by Bro. Ed Merritt, in Camp Meeting 1958

June 11, 2019

"There are two works in the plan of salvation, and I can prove it by the scriptures," Bro Ed Merritt says as he begins his sermon, and then it is off to the races through the Old and New Testament. Along the way, he discusses the role of conversion, the necessity of sanctification, and how the resurrection relates to our spiritual life. This sermon is simply fantastic, both for learning and for spiritual encouragement. I have enjoyed it very much.

In Christ with love,

Bro. David Copeland

“Whose House Are We” by Bro. Charles and Sis. Lottie Riggs in Camp Meeting 1959

“Whose House Are We” by Bro. Charles and Sis. Lottie Riggs in Camp Meeting 1959

June 6, 2019

At the 1959 Campmeeting, Bro. Charles Riggs begins his sermon by asking his wife, Sis. Lottie, to join him in the pulpit. Together they read and expound on the true House of God, punctuated by three songs and lively exhortation.

I marvel at the freedom these brothers and sisters display in their worship. This recording is a glimpse into Christ's Sanctified Holy Church as it continued to transition from a travelling group to what we know today. God has been good to us, or, as Bro Charles Riggs said, "God has always taken good care of Little Charlie."

Praise God!

“The Plan is Complete” by Sis. Kay Teague in Camp Meeting 2006

“The Plan is Complete” by Sis. Kay Teague in Camp Meeting 2006

May 28, 2019

"It is not a work in progress."

The plan of salvation is complete, Sis. Kay extolls as she preaches on the seven seals found in John's Revelation letter.  Have you found yourself intimidated by the book of Revelation?  Sis. Kay's sermon can be an excellent primer for spiritual insight into the mysteries of the book. I hope you are blessed and encouraged by it as I have been.

“Christ Has Taken His Great Power” by Sis. Becky Collier in Camp Meeting 2013

“Christ Has Taken His Great Power” by Sis. Becky Collier in Camp Meeting 2013

May 2, 2019

Revelation 11:17 - "...We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned."

Reading from the Old and New Testaments, Sis. Becky refers to this verse several times to illuminate Jesus Christ and His finished work.  She continues to encourage the Christian to receive Christ's power through the Holy Ghost.
