Just as God has set light in opposition to darkness so is Thanksgiving in opposition to covetousness (which is idolatry). Though no one is jailed for covetousness, it might well cause more people to miss heaven than any of the other commandments. Have your eye singly focused on God’s will for your life. From 1 Timothy 6:10 he explains that the love of money (and any type of gain) is indeed the root of all evil.

Tuesday Dec 27, 2022
From Camp Meeting 2016, during personally trying times, Bro. Kenneth Collier relies on the Holy Spirit during his sermon to un-apologetically stand on a platform of holiness. He describes how a sanctified experience permeates everything to make a new creature, with a joy that the famous and wealthy celebrities of this world would envy, if they just knew. There is no higher, more glorious calling worthy of ambition beyond a daily, holy sanctified life. He encourages us to attend to spiritual work like we attend our physical work because the bills and judgment are coming.
